Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a PACU Nurse at SJHMC- Westgate, you will use skills in the recovery room and it doesn't stop there. Most patients never realize the part you played in getting them through one of their most vulnerable moments. Honoring your commitment to care for others is thanks enough. Our leadership is visible and the hospital is expanding its services. Call is required and is based on shift and patient volume.

Every day you will go over consent forms, answer questions about the procedure, do preoperative assessments, and prepare patients for various surgical procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others. Your sense of urgency and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment will not only support patient recovery but also fuel your own career advancement.
