Job Description

The teacher is responsible for fostering the intellectual, social, physical, and faith development of children in the SAA-SDS lower school experience. The candidate for this position will be expected to design and maintain a class environment favorable to boys academic and personal growth. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching, getting to know, and celebrate boys. Daily instructional plans should demonstrate knowledge of best practice in differentiated instruction and implement pedagogical approaches that encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education required; Master's degree preferred.
  • One to three years teaching experience at the elementary school level preferred.
  • Must be experienced with the developmental needs of 6-12-year-old boys.
  • Has a passion for being around, teaching and getting to know and celebrate boys.
