Job Description:
The Associate HR Business Partner is responsible for supporting the employee lifecycle for RaceTrac employees to provide a successful employee experience. This individual serves as an internal consultant and support, ensuring employees have a positive experience with RaceTrac and that HR initiatives and programs are successfully implemented and executed. Up to 10% travel may be required.
What You'll Do:
  • Manages RaceTrac's recognition program, including vendor management, annual budget, reporting, and serves as point of contact for both SSC and Regional SSC.
  • Serves as a point of contact and executes Regional Store Support field personnel and SSC employees throughout the employee job relocation processes.
  • Researches and manages event vendors and activities for SSC, department, and/or team events. Ownership of employee events from creation to execution, inclusive of vendor selection and management and scheduling, coordination, and execution of event.
  • Executes Store Support Center processes throughout the employee lifecycle including but not limited to onboarding, orientation, and exits.
  • Owns and manages policy updates and review for all employee groups on a regular cadence and when ad-hoc changes are needed.
  • Owns the system responsible for collecting employee complaints and partners with the Executive Director of Field HR to provide reporting, themes and identify areas to address.
  • Resolves basic employee grievances, discrepancies, and personnel issues through conflict management; handles each issue with diplomacy, tact and confidentiality.
  • Partners with business leaders to provide support for company-wide HR initiatives, processes, and programs.
  • Evaluates ongoing programs and processes and identifies any opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations to leaders based on feedback and data.
  • Manages related processes in Workday ensuring configuration and execution is working as designed for processes such as counseling, termination and onboarding.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University, a concentration in Human Resources preferred
  • 3+ years' experience within a Human Resources capacity preferred
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal required
  • Proven knowledge of Human Resources practices and concepts is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
