Senior Databricks Engineer / Architect
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent with client 
Location: Richmond, VA Remote with travel is must
Work Authorization: USC
Travel: Up to 25–30% as needed

Job Overview: We are hiring Senior Databricks Engineers and Architects to build and support modern data solutions using Databricks and cloud technologies. The role is hands-on and client-facing, with opportunities to work on large-scale data engineering and architecture initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
  • Strong Python and/or SQL skills
  • Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Good understanding of Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data platforms
  • Experience with data modeling and performance tuning
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Experience working in production data environments

Preferred

  • Databricks certification
  • Experience with enterprise or government projects
  • Experience designing data platforms or lakehouse solutions
  • Existing Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance

Eligibility

  • U.S. Citizens Only
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check
  • Active clearance is preferred for certain positions; some positions do not require an existing clearance
  • Must be willing to travel when required
