Job description

Job Title: Manager, Operations Management

Job Code: 40756

Job Location: Mason, OH 

Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off

 

Job Description:

 

Manages and directs experienced professionals, lower level supervisors, or managers. Often leads one or more teams or a department. Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Develops or champions new concepts or technologies. Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short- to mid-term function or business area results. Requires broad management and cross-functional leadership knowledge and mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Production & Yield Management: Oversee the fabrication and testing process to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory: Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) reviews. Design inventory tools (like Kanban systems) to prevent material shortages and reduce dead stock
  • Process Improvement: Apply industrial engineering principles (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to drive continuous improvement, maximize wafer or chip yield, and reduce downtime.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering, finance, and sales to manage customer demand, allocate resources, and update pricing.
  • Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor teams of production operators, technicians, and engineers.
  • Some travel required, 5-10%
  • Ability to obtain US Secret Clearance 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the function
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, technology roadmaps, and production planning software. 
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (like SAP) and advanced data analysis tools. 
  • Excellent organizational abilities, high attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills to align teams on business objectives
  • Cleanroom experience both in practical usage and in maintenance thereof
  • Understanding of maintenance of semiconductor equipment and facilities support equipment

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $105,500 - $196,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $91,500 - $170,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
