This role focuses on building reliable release pipelines, packaging applications for deployment, coordinating release readiness, and improving repeatable delivery practices across engineering teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • 2–5 years of DevOps, release engineering, SRE, platform, or automation experience.

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and containerized application delivery.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar.

  • Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar.

  • Experience with branching, merging, tagging, versioning, and release promotion workflows.

  • Familiarity with artifact repositories, container registries, and dependency management.

  • Understanding of deployment validation, rollback planning, and release governance.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across engineering teams.

  • U.S. citizenship required.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Infrastructure as Code.

  • Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenSearch, or Splunk.

  • Exposure to vulnerability scanning tools such as Anchore, Xray, Tenable/Nessus, or similar.

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes secrets, Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or secure configuration practices.

  • Experience supporting regulated environments, RMF, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, or ATO-related delivery.

  • Experience with release checklists, deployment gates, quality gates, and production readiness reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and support release delivery workflows for containerized applications deployed to Kubernetes.

  • Package and deploy applications using Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and container delivery patterns.

  • Support Docker image creation, tagging, promotion, scanning, and release traceability.

  • Coordinate release readiness across engineering, DevOps, QA, security, and product stakeholders.

  • Maintain deployment documentation, release notes, rollback plans, and operational runbooks.

  • Troubleshoot deployment issues across development, staging, and production-like environments.

  • Improve release repeatability through automation, templates, standards, and pipeline hardening.

  • Support artifact management using Artifactory or equivalent repositories.

  • Assist with configuration management, environment promotion, secrets handling, and deployment validation.

  • Contribute to secure and compliant delivery practices in regulated environments.
