This individual contributor conducts strategic research that informs design and product decisions across digital channels. As part of a newly established practice, this role contributes to building and scaling research capabilities across the organization. The Senior User Experience Researcher works closely with peers in design, product, engineering, and change management to uncover user needs and behaviors. They bring curiosity, analytical thinking, and a collaborative spirit to every project.**Responsibilities:****Research*** Leads generative and evaluative research across priority business areas and digital channels, including web, mobile, voice, and emerging platforms.* Develops rigorous research plans and delivers clear, user-centered, actionable insights.* Recruits participants, creates stimuli, develops discussion guides, moderates interviews, programs surveys, synthesizes findings, and develops reports.* Sets high standards for research quality, clarity, and strategic relevance.* Contributes to improving research processes, tools, templates, and deliverables to support a scalable research practice.**Collaboration*** Partners closely across technology, operations, and clinical teams to integrate research insights into daily work.* Helps solve problems by facilitating workshops using design thinking methods.* Builds strong relationships across the organization to align on goals and priorities.* Contributes to improving Design and End-User Research team operations.**Craft Leadership*** Provides research guidance to other Digital team members.* Actively explores new tools, methods, and approaches to improve craft and strengthen Montefiore’s research practice.* Seeks mentorship and feedback to develop research skills.* Demonstrates curiosity and empathy in team interactions.* Takes initiative to understand user needs and business goals.**Requirements:**The ideal candidate is a senior-level User Experience Researcher with strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods and a passion for improving digital experiences. This role requires someone who works independently, thrives in ambiguity, adapts quickly to change, and proactively drives research forward. The ideal candidate is highly organized, empathetic, and skilled at delivering strategic research that influences product direction.**Qualifications*** Minimum 4 years of experience conducting user research for digital products across platforms.* Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, product design, information design, human factors, psychology, social sciences, or equivalent relevant work experience.* Advanced skills in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including participant recruitment, research planning, moderation, survey design, synthesis, and reporting.* Proven ability to design and execute research plans that deliver clear, actionable insights.* Experience translating complex findings into strategic recommendations for design, product, and executive audiences.* Experience evaluating accessibility and inclusive design across channels.* Ability to prioritize research based on business value, user impact, and confidence.* Strong storytelling and communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.* Strong workshop facilitation skills.* Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively navigate ambiguity* Strong track record of building collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners.* While much of this role involves work that can be performed remotely, there is an expectation of periodic onsite presence at our various Westchester, NY and Bronx, NY locations.**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience in healthcare, clinical workflows, or patient-facing digital tools.* Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, accessibility compliance).* Experience guiding research for emerging technologies such as AI, wearables, or voice interfaces.* Experience contributing to service blueprinting and journey mapping.* Ability to contribute to strategic planning with cross-functional partners.* Experience mentoring others in research methods.#LI-MF1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
