Job description

Position Summary:

Responsible for the Company's cash forecasting, liquidity management, and cash flow analytics functions by developing and executing the enterprise cash forecasting strategy, monitoring daily liquidity, and providing executive leadership with actionable insights to support funding, capital allocation, and strategic decision-making. This role will maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Company's mortgage banking operations, including mortgage loan inventory, warehouse financing, investor settlements, mortgage servicing rights (MSRs), servicing advance financing, and corporate liquidity requirements. Serves as a key partner to Treasury, Capital Markets, Accounting, Servicing, and Executive Leadership, ensuring the organization maintains appropriate liquidity to support growth while optimizing the use of capital. This position will operate as the organization's primary owner of cash forecasting and liquidity management and is expected to provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding funding, financing, and liquidity risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and owns the Company's enterprise-wide cash forecasting and liquidity management processes.
  • Develops, maintains, and continuously enhances daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and long-range cash flow forecasts.
  • Monitors and analyzes all cash inflows and outflows across the organization and provide accurate daily liquidity projections.
  • Provides executive-level reporting and recommendations regarding liquidity, cash utilization, borrowing strategies, and capital deployment.
  • Maintains a detailed understanding of mortgage loan inventory, warehouse line utilization, loan funding requirements, investor purchase activity, payoffs, and settlement timing.
  • Analyzes, forecasts, and monitors liquidity impacts associated with mortgage servicing rights (MSRs), servicing advance financing facilities, servicing cash flows, and related financing structures.
  • Partners with Capital Markets, Secondary Marketing, Treasury, Servicing, Operations, Accounting, and Finance leadership to evaluate the liquidity implications of business initiatives and market conditions.
  • Evaluates the impact of interest rate movements, origination volumes, servicing portfolio performance, loan sale execution, and financing strategies on liquidity and cash flow.
  • Oversees daily cash positioning and variance analysis, identifying emerging liquidity risks and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develops scenario analyses, stress testing, and contingency funding strategies to support risk management and corporate planning efforts.
  • Supports management of warehouse facilities, servicing advance financing facilities, corporate debt arrangements, and banking relationships.
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on liquidity planning, funding capacity, and balance sheet optimization.
  • Drives process improvements, automation initiatives, and forecasting enhancements to improve accuracy, scalability, and reporting efficiency.
  • Leads, mentors, and develops team members while establishing best practices for forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Performs other duties and projects assigned. 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum eight (8) + years of progressive experience in mortgage banking, financial planning and analysis, treasury, liquidity management, cash forecasting, or related finance functions.
  • Mortgage industry experience required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
    • Cash Forecasting
    • Liquidity Management
    • Mortgage Loan Inventory Management
    • Warehouse Lending Facilities
    • Secondary Marketing and Investor Settlements
    • Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSRs)
    • Servicing Advance Financing
    • Capital Markets and Funding Structures
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other business intelligence platforms preferred.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.
  • Experience managing or mentoring analysts and finance professionals preferred.
  • Experience supporting large-scale mortgage origination and servicing platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse facilities, MSR financing, servicing advanced facilities, and other mortgage-related funding structures preferred.

 Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $132,000 and $160,000. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
