Job Description

The Senior Test Engineer serves as the technical lead and subject matter expert for software and system testing activities. This role is responsible for evaluating system and software performance to identify potential issues, guiding a team of test engineers, and ensuring testing processes support reliable and secure product releases.

The Senior Test Engineer will lead forensic analysis of operational CNE collection capabilities and associated support systems, working closely with development teams to identify, analyze, and resolve defects prior to production deployment. The position requires strong technical expertise in software testing, cybersecurity analysis techniques, and modern development methodologies.ย Top secret clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the testing subject matter expert and technical lead for a team of test engineers.

  • Evaluate software and system performance to identify defects, vulnerabilities, and operational issues.

  • Lead the forensic analysis of operational CNE collection capabilities and associated support systems.

  • Direct and mentor test engineers in developing, executing, and maintaining testing strategies.

  • Collaborate with software development teams to diagnose and resolve issues prior to production releases.

  • Implement and oversee automated testing frameworks and tools.

  • Ensure testing processes align with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.

  • Apply advanced cybersecurity and forensic analysis techniques to support testing and validation activities.

Required Experience

  • Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience in software testing or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrated programming proficiency relevant to testing and automation.

  • Extensive knowledge of mobile and desktop operating systems.

  • Proven experience leading or managing a team of software test engineers.

  • Experience conducting forensic analysis of software or system behavior.

  • Proficiency with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, or comparable frameworks.

  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum development environments.

  • Familiarity with advanced cybersecurity testing techniques and industry-standard analysis tools.
