Position Overview:

The Mission Systems Multi-Domain Assured Navigation and Timing Applications (MANTA) Systems/Hardware department is looking for a highly motivated Test Engineer, with a passion for learning, to join the Test Innovation Engineering team and focus on Special Test Equipment (STE) design, development and Integration. The successful candidate will work with internal customers, production facilities, contract manufactures and leadership as well as internal systems, software and hardware engineering development teams to develop STE products for ground applications.

You will be working in a dynamic, results-oriented team environment with engineers that share your passion for providing cutting edge solutions to today’s military.

What You Will Do:

  • Review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in the manufacturing and service environments.
  • Capture, analyze, decompose and translate requirements for production test solutions.
  • Interface and coordinate with internal systems, hardware, and software product design teams
  • Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management and customers.
  • Ability to reverse engineer existing equipment (i.e. documenting something that is already built)


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
