Job Description

Create precision designs for mission-critical RF and microwave products. Teledyne Technologies is a leading provider of high-power microwave components for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. If you're skilled in mechanical drafting and design and thrive in a collaborative environment, this role is for you.

What you'll do
  • Prepare detailed layouts and drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies using 2D and 3D software
  • Support larger projects involving product structuring and documentation
  • Check drawings for compliance with internal and industry standards
  • Become proficient in software tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, PDM, Vault, Altium, PADs, and MasterControl
  • Facilitate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and incorporate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Prepare drawings from rough sketches or general instructions and maintain revision control
  • Operate plotters, printers, and scanners to produce hard-copy drawings
  • Interface effectively with engineers, program managers, and staff at all levels
What you need
  • 5-10 years of experience in drafting, design, or related technical field (required)
  • AS degree in Drafting, Design, or similar (preferred)
  • Senior-level experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent (required)
  • Knowledge of mechanical drafting/modeling, dimensioning, and GD&T tolerancing (required)
  • Altium/board layout experience (advantage)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (required)
  • Must be a U.S. Person (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees)
