Job description

RF-Probe Electrical Test Engineer

Experience Level: Professional

We are seeking an experienced Senior RF Probe Electrical Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in radio frequency (RF) testing, electrical characterization of semiconductor devices, and familiarity with probe station operation. This role involves designing, developing, and executing electrical test methodologies to ensure product performance and reliability meet stringent specifications.

This is an onsite role where the expectation is to be in our Richardson, TX office five days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement RF probe test plans and procedures for semiconductor devices and modules.
  • Operate and maintain RF and test equipment to perform electrical characterization and validation.
  • Analyze test data to identify device performance trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with design, process, and product engineering teams to optimize test validation, quality, and yield.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex test issues and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and ramp‑up phases with robust test strategies.
  • Document test results, generate reports, and present findings to cross‑functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols in the test environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience (or an equivalent amount of education and experience) in RF electrical testing, preferably in semiconductor or wireless device manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and related test instrumentation.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with yield analysis, failure analysis, and statistical process control is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in test automation software and scripting languages (e.g., SCPI, Python, LabVIEW, Instrument Macro).
