Job description

Job Description ECS is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work remot ely. ECS is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across corporate office environments and three geographically distributed data centers. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing network systems that support mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in multi-site networking, data center architecture, and enterprise-grade routing/switching, along with a proactive approach to reliability, security, and performance. Key Responsibilities * Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across ECS corporate offices and data centers * Manage core networking components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers * Ensure high availability and performance of WAN/LAN connectivity between sites * Support data center networking, including spine-leaf architecture, VLANs, VXLAN, and segmentation strategies * Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues across multiple environments * Implement and maintain network security controls (ACLs, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS) * Collaborate with systems, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to support hybrid infrastructure * Perform capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle management of network hardware/software * Maintain documentation for network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures * Support incident response and root cause analysis for network outages Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 Required Skills * Ability to pass background checks comparable to DoD Secret * 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering * Strong expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) * Experience with enterprise networking vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWall, etc.) * Hands-on experience supporting multi-site WAN environments * Knowledge of data center networking concepts and architectures * Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools * Solid understanding of network security principles Desired Skills * Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize competing requirements * Familiarity with SD-WAN and MPLS technologies * Experience with Network Access Controls (NPS, ForeScout) * Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or hybrid connectivity) * Knowledge of automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform) * Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent) #ECS1 ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis any characteristic protected by law.
