Job description

Graham Technologies (GTech) is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager with a strong data center background to serve as the primary point of contact for our customers' Federal IT Program Managers. This position will lead complex federal IT and data center projects, coordinating technical teams, stakeholders, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables within a matrixed environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing data center infrastructure projects, a strong Federal Government IT project management background, and demonstrated success delivering projects using both traditional Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Location: Denver, CO - Hybrid
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the single point of contact for customers' Federal IT Program Managers, providing effective communication, coordination, and project leadership.
  • Lead complex data center and IT infrastructure projects, including data center deployments, migrations, upgrades, consolidations, modernization initiatives, and related infrastructure activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional technical teams supporting areas such as servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud connectivity, facilities, security, and other data center technologies.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Execute projects using both Waterfall and Agile lifecycle methodologies.
  • Develop clear and complete project management artifacts, including project charters, project management plans, schedules, requirements, risk registers, status reports, and executive presentations.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable PMO processes, federal requirements, security standards, and lifecycle governance.
  • Work effectively across matrixed organizations to coordinate technical resources and maintain accountability for project outcomes.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and technical constraints and develop appropriate mitigation and escalation strategies.
  • Facilitate project meetings, technical discussions, status reviews, and executive-level briefings.
  • Communicate project status, risks, recommendations, and decisions effectively to senior leaders and Federal IT Program Managers.
  • Use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Visio to develop and maintain schedules, reports, presentations, diagrams, and other project documentation.
  • Apply strategic thinking, negotiation, conflict management, prioritization, and time-management skills to drive projects to successful completion.
Required Skills:
Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on IT project management experience within the Federal Government.
  • Demonstrated experience managing data center or major IT infrastructure projects.
  • Experience leading data center deployments, migrations, upgrades, consolidations, modernization initiatives, or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working within a matrixed organizational structure and coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute complex IT programs and projects to achieve defined goals.

Clearance:
  • Active Q clearance or TS/SCI clearance.

Certifications / Tools:
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or the ability to attain one within 3 months of the start date.
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Visio.
Desired Skills:
Experience:
  • Experience managing data center projects within DoD, DOE, Intelligence Community, or other Federal Government environments.
  • Experience with data center modernization, infrastructure refreshes, migrations, virtualization, cloud or hybrid infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, or related technologies.

Certifications / Tools:
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
  • SAFe Agile certification.
  • PRINCE2 or other relevant project/program management certification.
