Job Summary:
Alter Domus is a world leading provider of integrated solutions for the alternative investment industry. They are seeking a Senior DBA Engineer to join their Global IT Operations team, responsible for managing and optimizing Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance, and collaborating with stakeholders on database-related projects.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide hands-on expertise on systems related projects and participate on the daily tickets activity
โ€ข Deploy and troubleshoot various types of network elements, infrastructure services and platforms
โ€ข Build database systems of high availability
โ€ข Install, upgrade and manage database applications
โ€ข Develop processes for optimizing database security
โ€ข Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
โ€ข Performance tuning of database systems
โ€ข Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข At least 4-5 years of experience in database administration
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science or a related field
โ€ข Experience in installing Oracle Software of different versions like 11g,12c,19c,21c on various Operating Systems
โ€ข Responsible for the daily maintenance tasks and Health Check of all Oracle databases
โ€ข Manage Control files and Redolog files
โ€ข Manage Table spaces, Datafiles and other database objects
โ€ข Experience with backup and recovery planning and implementation in Oracle environments using RMAN
โ€ข Experience working with Oracle utilities, like, RMAN, Exp/Imp/DATAPUMP
โ€ข Monitor Alert log for error information
โ€ข Storage and space management including table spaces and data files
โ€ข Database Migration from Windows to Linux with 12cR2 version
โ€ข Database cloning using RMAN
โ€ข Data Guard Configuration (Physical Standby)
โ€ข Generate AWR and ADDM report
โ€ข Work with OEM 11g,13c
โ€ข RMAN cloud backup, restore, recovery using OSB
โ€ข Database Patching using Opatch utility
โ€ข Automate and schedule database monitoring scripts using shell scripts
โ€ข Goldengate installation and administration
โ€ข Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting
โ€ข Knowledge of RAC installation and administration
โ€ข WebLogic Administration
โ€ข Understanding of monitoring and reporting platforms, and associated tasks or operations

โ€ข Create and maintain database objects including tables, indexes, and materialized views
โ€ข Monitor and resolve replication server errors to ensure data consistency
โ€ข Implement and execute comprehensive backup strategies using multiple methodologies
โ€ข Perform database restoration procedures and environment refreshes as required
โ€ข Configure and maintain streaming and logical replication for high availability
โ€ข Utilize diagnostic tools (pg_stat_database, pg_activity, pg_stat_statements) for proactive database monitoring and tuning
