Position Description:
CGI is seeking a Senior BI Developer to support enterprise reporting, data analysis, and process automation initiatives within a highly regulated financial services environment. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining Tableau dashboards, developing automated data solutions using Python and SQL, performing system analysis and testing, and delivering actionable insights that support business decision making.
We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!.
This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
CGI is seeking a Senior BI Developer to support enterprise reporting, data analysis, and process automation initiatives within a highly regulated financial services environment. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining Tableau dashboards, developing automated data solutions using Python and SQL, performing system analysis and testing, and delivering actionable insights that support business decision making.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience integrating Tableau, Python, and SQL to create scalable reporting solutions, improve data quality, and streamline business processes. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical resources in an Agile environment. Experience working in cloud-based ecosystems, particularly AWS, is highly valued.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting development, or system analysis.
. Advanced Tableau development, including dashboard design, calculated fields, parameters, filters, data blending, and performance tuning
. Strong experience publishing, managing, and maintaining content within Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud
. Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write, optimize, troubleshoot, and validate complex queries against relational databases
. Python development experience for data analysis, automation, validation, and reporting workflows
. Hands on experience with analytics libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and similar tools
. Ability to integrate Tableau, Python, and SQL into automated reporting and data quality processes
. Experience performing system analysis, root cause investigation, and software testing
. Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog driven development
. Experience using JIRA or comparable work management and issue tracking tools
. Strong data validation, data quality, and analytical problem solving capabilities
. Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into reporting and analytical solutions
. Strong documentation skills for business requirements, testing results, reporting logic, and technical findings
. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both business and technical audiences
. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
. Experience collaborating effectively within remote, hybrid, or distributed teams
Desired Skillset:
. AWS cloud experience, including cloud hosted analytics and reporting environments
. Cloud certifications (AWS preferred)
. Experience with Power BI and Power Automate
. Salesforce system analysis or development experience
. Exposure to workflow automation and enterprise reporting modernization initiatives
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,700.00 $156,700.00.
