Sr. Data Engineer - ETL / Python Developer

This is a remote 12+ month contract role with potential occasional travel to Springfield, IL.

Must have state Medicaid experience

seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to support an Enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytics Program.

This role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines that support Medicaid analytics, federal reporting, and enterprise decision support.
Key experience includes:
State project - Medicaid EDW, MMIS analytics and data experience a must (healthcare experience is not an equivalent for this requirement)
5+ years of enterprise data warehousing / data engineering experience
ETL development with Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, or similar tools
Python development for data engineering and automation with Spark-based processing, including Databricks or equivalent
Strong SQL across platforms such as Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata

The right candidate will be comfortable working in a regulated, audit-sensitive environment and collaborating across architects, analysts, QA, PMs, SMEs, developers, and BI teams.
