Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Senior Associate Integration/Test Engineer to support the Operations Integration and Test Group. This position will work with a diverse team responsible for the assembly, integration, and test of highly reliable spaceflight hardware assemblies ranging from moderate to high complexity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a procedure-driven test environment, including test planning, test procedure development, test execution, troubleshooting, data review, and coordination with cross-functional teams. This role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to support critical test operations in a fast-paced environment

Essential Functions:

  • Support subsystem-level and payload-level testing of electrical, mechanical, optical, and cable harness assemblies.
  • Develop, review, and execute test documentation, including test requirements, test design documents, test procedures, work instructions, test reports, and related data products.
  • Support test readiness activities, including test configuration planning, equipment setup, procedure walk-throughs, risk identification, and coordination of support personnel.
  • Execute test activities in accordance with approved technical procedures, work instructions, customer requirements, and safety requirements.
  • Review and validate test data, document results, support anomaly investigations, and present findings to internal and external customers as required.
  • Coordinate with design engineering, test engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, facilities, EHS, vendors, and program teams to resolve test issues, meet schedule, and improve throughput.
  • Support critical hardware/equipment movements, clean room and test area operations, non-standard shifts, overtime, and travel up to 30% between L3Harris sites and customer locations as required.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain work in confined spaces or a clean room environment for long periods of time (> 2 hours)
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, overtime, and non-standard shifts as required during critical test activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; or a Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0-2 years prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Strong professional work ethic, self-motivation, ownership and high attention to detail
  • Experience working in a procedure-driven technical environment.
  • U.S. Citizen

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience supporting integration and test activities for spaceflight, aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability hardware.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, or executing technical procedures, work instructions, test plans, or test reports.
  • Experience with bench-top testing and common test equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition systems, and related computer-controlled test systems.
  • Experience reviewing test data, documenting results, supporting anomaly resolution, and presenting technical information to internal or external customers.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, optical, or cable harness assemblies.
  • Experience with ESD safeguards, contamination control, clean room practices, and hardware handling requirements.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1540, NASA GEVS, SMC-S-016, or similar environmental and spaceflight test standards.
