WORK SCHEDULE

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Conveniently located near downtown Seattle, the Pioneer Square Clinic provides primary healthcare, and treats acute problems for adult patients.

We have an in-office pharmacy to provide full-service pharmacy services to clinic patients. Services include prescription fulfillment and pickup, medicine consulting, over the counter medicine, and immunization.
Our mental healthcare professionals provide a range of services including psychiatricconsultations,medication management and recommendations for continuedpsychiatric care. Other available services include podiatry, social services, dietician consultations and health education.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and prioritize incoming referrals from multiple sources using their knowledge of each physician's specialized skill set

  • Triage incoming referrals to assure the appropriate specialist will be reviewing referrals

  • Handle intake of each referral requests, ensuring complete information is received and entered into the electronic medical record system in a timely manner

  • Schedule initial patient appointments either in person or via Telemedicine based on provider and patient preference

  • Coordinates appointments for the patient at the appropriate facility and assists with urgent insurance authorization or financial assistance

  • Manage and resolve a high volume of phone inquiries and messages

  • Review appointment follow-up requirements and expectations with patients Educate them to ensure adequate understanding of the purpose of each appointment and follow-up recommendations

  • Offer financial assistance to self-pay and underinsured patients. Provide them with the necessary steps to apply for financial counseling

  • Building provider schedules

  • Serve as a primary program contact to other departments, patients, providers outside facilities

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty
    OR

  • An equivalent of education/experience

  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration
