Job Title: Senior SQL Developer (SSAS)

Location: Sioux Falls SD

Duration: 6 plus Months

Description:

  • Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.
  • Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
  • Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.
  • Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing.
  • Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
  • Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
  • 10+ years application development and implementation experience

Additional Details:

  • Provides the highest technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases.
  • Handles and leads the most complex or critical data/ database management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling.
  • As the recognized technical expert, consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise-level data/ database architecture and management strategies. Serves as a consultant on technological advancements.
  • Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff.
  • May represent the organization as an external spokesperson.
  • 8 to 10+ years database design and administration experience.
  • 3+ years recent SSAS experience
  • The key experience areas are 3 plus years of recent SSAS development along with a strong base of over 8 to 10 years of SQL Server development and support using other tools like SSIS and SSRS.
  • This person will work along with me to develop and enhance our existing SSAS solution along with some data mart and data warehouse development on SQL 2014 platform primarily.
  • The key soft skills are communication, attention to detail and proactive nature to seek out work and answers.
  • Experience in reviewing work upcoming and filling slack time with preparation for upcoming requests.
  • The plan is to have this person shadow our existing developer who serves as our SSAS guru who also does SQL, SSIS and some SSRS development
