You Are: A Cloud Data Conversion Sr. Developer, an experienced and analytical professional who will lead technical activities for migrating complex data into Oracle Cloud ERP. You will own the design of conversion programs, guide junior developers, and serve as the subject matter expert for all technical aspects of the data conversion lifecycle.

The Work: You will be responsible for designing, building, and executing the technical solutions required to convert legacy data into Oracle Cloud. This includes developing complex SQL scripts for data transformation, creating reusable conversion templates, and leading data validation efforts. You will collaborate closely with functional consultants to understand data requirements and with client stakeholders to ensure data integrity. Your role is critical to ensuring a successful transition to the new platform during all phases of the implementation, from mock cycles to final cutover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conversion Design and Strategy: Lead the technical design of data conversion strategies and create detailed source-to-target mapping documents for complex data objects.
  • Development and Transformation: Develop, test, and optimize complex SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, and other ETL processes to transform and cleanse legacy data into Oracle Cloud-compatible formats (FBDI/HDL).
  • Process Ownership: Own and manage the execution of data load cycles, including Mocks, Dress Rehearsals, and production Cutover, ensuring all technical dependencies are met.
  • Complex Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, data errors, and performance bottlenecks during the conversion process, serving as the final point of escalation for the technical team.
  • Validation and Governance: Design and implement robust data validation and reconciliation processes. Develop scripts and reports to ensure data accuracy and completeness post-load.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data conversion developers, conduct code reviews, and establish best practices for the team.
  • Collaboration: Partner with functional leads, business analysts, and client SMEs to interpret data requirements, define transformation logic, and support data cleansing initiatives.

Here's What You Need:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data conversion/migration for Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, SCM, or HCM).
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for complex data extraction, transformation, and validation.
  • Proven experience leading technical data conversion activities through multiple project lifecycles.
  • In-depth, hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud data loading tools, including FBDI and HDL.
  • Strong understanding of ETL principles and the entire data migration lifecycle, from analysis to post-go-live support.

Bonus Points If:

  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other enterprise ETL tools (e.g., Informatica).
  • Background in federal, regulated, or public sector environments.
  • Skills in performance tuning of SQL and data loading processes.
  • Experience in a client-facing or consulting role, with strong communication and leadership skills.
