Job Description
Seeking 2 Business Analysts to work as full-time W-2 employees on a long-term project for a large State of Illinois agency. You will be working on a comprehensive statewide data solution.
You will likely be assigned to multiple projects over the course of your time at the agency. In general, you will support the staff by:
  • analyzing and interpreting data using scientific methods,
  • assisting program areas to create data stories using statistical techniques,
  • producing insightful dashboards and reports to answer questions about program data, and
  • helping to standardize data visualizations agency-wide to increase functional use of dashboards and reports.

Technical Environment at the agency is Microsoft.NET (development) and Microsoft SQL Server (relational database). Microsoft Windows / Office Suite.
Qualifications
Strong candidates for this position will:
  • Have expertise conducting statistical analyses of data using standard statistical techniques.
  • Have expertise gathering functional specification requirements for the development of dashboards and reports.
  • Have experience working with interactive data visualization products focused on business intelligence such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar products.
  • Have experience with management of data to produce accurate and consistent longitudinal datasets.
  • Have experience using Microsoft SQL Server to model data into datasets for consumption of business intelligence software.
  • Have experience with anonymizing datasets in order to preserve data security and privacy.
