Summary
The Quality and SQF Supervisor is responsible for managing the manufacturing operations of an assigned shift by assigning work, providing hands-on supervision, conducting visual audits and tests of finished goods to ensure quality standards are met and sustained. This role oversees the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the SQF System, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises production staff that includes all production positions including packers, pack techs, print operators, production equipment operators, material handlers, leads and shift mechanic.
  • Acts as a WinCup champion by demonstrating WinCup values and promoting team member engagement.
  • Assigns work according to priority lines and skill availability.
  • Supports team members with necessary resources to do their jobs accurately, timely and safely.
  • Complete quality, efficiency and production reports daily.
  • Responsible for safely achieving established production schedules and efficiencies while monitoring equipment, processes and operating techniques on a continuous basis to assure quality standards are met.
  • Coordinates with the maintenance department to maintain equipment and utilities in proper working condition and monitors to assure equipment is utilized in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Complies with all employment laws and reports any employee relations to human resources.
  • Ensures maximum use of raw materials while minimizing scrap levels to attain company standards.
  • Provides accurate records of production, employee absenteeism, accidents, wage increases, time off and overtime.
  • Responsible for managing performance and addressing performance gaps through progressive disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for auditing and approving team member timecards for payroll processing.
  • Responsible for ensuring all new team members are properly trained in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for data input into computer programs/systems as required for production records.
  • Works with quality control personnel to ensure product quality and takes appropriate action(s) when necessary based on the information they provide.
  • Conducts job, safety and ad-hoc training sessions with shift personnel.
  • Perform Start-Up shift meetings to communicate important and relevant company and plant information.
  • Communicates and enforces company work rules and policies consistently and fairly across shift.
  • Enforces plant safety rules, housekeeping standards and employee work practices in accordance with company policies and OSHA/FDA regulations.
  • Performs annual performance evaluations of direct reports.
  • Responsible for controlling and monitoring attendance and punctuality of assigned shift.
