Here in North Charleston, SC, Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC is writing an exciting chapter in Daimler's history as we add the first U.S. van production plant for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, in addition to our existing assembly operation for Sprinter and METRIS vans.  Our slogan is "Vans. Learning Objective:

Our main objective is to give students experience and real world issues organizations face each day.  We believe in working with our interns on a work schedule that allows them to focus on school and homework. We also believe in paying our interns competitive wages.  This position will allow the team member to gain insight to the workings of factory planning and engineering processes. This internship will expose the team member to all levels in the organization to assist in building a resume that will allow the team member to become competitive in the job market.
 
Responsibilities:
Mercedes-Benz Vans is looking for a Finance/Accounting intern. The applicant filling this position will handle a wide range of important duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Internal controls implementation and verification
  • Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Assist in preparation of presentations
  • Support the payment processing team
  • Documentation of training materials
  • Complete special projects as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications: 
Applicants should be Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting majors in pursuit of their Bachelor's or Master's Degree or having graduated within the past 12 months.
 
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position.
 
Opportunities:
Learn or improve the German language; cultural exchange with German interns.

The Sprinter plant officially opened in 2018 and serves as a key part of the Mercedes-Benz Vans global production network. MBV Charleston was selected as the first plant in this network to produce the all-new eSprinter, beginning in 2024.
