New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Thermal Spray Operator (HVOF / HVAF) for a client located in Cleveland, TX to join their team.

Summary:Responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) and/or HVAF (High Velocity Air Fuel) thermal spray systems to apply wear and corrosion resistant coatings on mud rotors and oil & gas rotational components. This role supports production requirements by delivering high Quality coatings while adhering to strict safety, quality, and customer specifications.
Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot HVOF and/or HVAF thermal spray equipment
Apply thermal spray coatings to mud rotors and related oilfield components per engineering and customer requirements
Perform all surface preparation activities including grit blasting, masking, and part fixturing
Monitor, control, and adjust spray parameters to achieve proper coating thickness, adhesion, and surface finish
Perform in process and post process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and coating thickness gauges
Interpret and follow work instructions, drawings, job travelers, and coating procedures
Perform routine preventive maintenance on spray equipment and spray booths
Accurately complete job documentation, inspection records, and quality reports
Work closely with production supervisors, quality, and engineering teams to meet schedules and delivery commitments
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times
Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards, including proper PPE usage
Willingness to work overtime as required

Qualifications
3+ years of hands on experience as a Thermal Spray Operator
Proven experience with HVOF and/or HVAF coating processes
Direct experience coating mud rotors or similar oil & gas downhole components is required
Strong understanding of coating materials, spray parameters, and quality requirements
Experience with grit blasting, masking, and post and coating inspections
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality
Ability to work in an industrial shop environment with exposure to heat and noise
Must be able to wear required PPE, including respirators and protective clothing
