A Spotlight Operator is responsible for controlling and adjusting spotlights to highlight performers, speakers, or specific stage areas during live events, theater productions, or broadcasts. They follow cues from the lighting designer or stage manager to ensure proper timing, brightness, and focus. This role requires precision, quick reflexes, and familiarity with lighting equipment. It may also involve equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation during performances.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a spotlight operator?

To thrive as a Spotlight Operator, you need a solid grasp of stage lighting techniques, attention to detail, and capability to physically handle lighting equipment, with experience often gained through technical theatre training or on-the-job learning. Familiarity with lighting control boards, spotlights, safety rigging, and sometimes basic electrics or union certification is important. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure are vital soft skills. These competencies are crucial to ensure precise, seamless lighting that supports live performances and enhances overall audience experience.

Spotlight Operators often encounter challenges such as quickly adapting to last-minute changes in cues, maintaining focus and concentration throughout long performances, and coordinating smoothly with other crew members under time-sensitive conditions. Senior Product Manager - Seed

365 Retail Markets

Atlanta, GA • On-site

$121K - $160K/yr

Full-time

Posted 9 days ago

Job description

Description

365 Retail Markets is the most trusted global provider of unattended retail technology, delivering conveniently smart self-service solutions since 2008. The company's all-in-one platform powers retail spaces across food service, global retail, and hospitality with a comprehensive suite of friction-less smart stores, micro markets, vending, catering, and dining point-of-sale options. These technologies can be found worldwide in corporate offices, manufacturing and distribution facilities, educational campuses, hotels, and beyond.

As a nine-time honoree on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in the United States, and with a continually expanding global presence, 365 Retail Markets is committed to growth, innovation, and providing superior, integrated technology that meets the evolving needs of its customers and consumers.

The Seed platform is the operating system for unattended retail - powering vending, micromarket, and office coffee/delivery operations for businesses ranging from local operators to enterprise bottler divisions running tens of thousands of machines, thousands of micromarkets, and tens of thousands of delivery points.

Summary

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to join the Operator Experience (OE) team to own two connected pieces of the Seed platform: Seed Pro, the core vending module and foundation of the platform used by every Seed customer, and the Seed data products suite - Spotlight, Copilot, Analytics, and Intelligence - the tools that turn operator data into insight and action.

This role also carries people leadership: you'll mentor 1-2 other product managers, helping them grow their craft while staying hands-on with your own roadmap. You'll also work closely with the PMs leading 365's other Operator Experience products - Parlevel, Lightspeed, and ADM - to keep the broader OE portfolio coherent for operators who use more than one of our products.

Responsibilities

Own Seed Pro

  • Set and drive the roadmap for Seed Pro, the core vending operations module used across our entire customer base - from small regional operators to enterprise-scale accounts.
  • Translate operator pain points (route efficiency, machine uptime, planogram and pricing management, cash and inventory accountability) into a prioritized backlog.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and support to ship features that measurably improve operator outcomes: revenue per machine, waste reduction, and labor efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison to the Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services teams to provide product knowledge support.

Own the Seed data products suite

  • Set and drive the roadmap for Spotlight, Copilot, Analytics, and Intelligence - the products that give operators visibility into their business and, increasingly, AI-powered guidance on what to do about it.
  • Champion the use of data and AI to help operators run better businesses - surfacing insights (e.g., machine performance anomalies, route optimization opportunities, demand forecasting, pricing recommendations) rather than just reporting raw data back to them.
  • Identify where AI/ML can turn existing operator data into actionable recommendations for customers of all sizes, not just enterprise accounts with in-house BI teams.
  • Stay current on practical applications of AI in operations/logistics software so the data products roadmap reflects real, usable capability rather than novelty features.
  • Coordinate closely with the Seed Pro roadmap, since Spotlight, Copilot, Analytics, and Intelligence are only as good as the underlying operational data Seed Pro captures.

Lead and mentor

  • Coach 1-2 product managers on discovery, prioritization, and stakeholder management.
  • Help set shared standards across the PM team (roadmap hygiene, dependency tracking, release documentation) so the practice scales as the platform grows.

Understand the customer

  • Develop deep fluency in how unattended retail operators run their businesses - route economics, commission and tax handling, micromarket shrink, OCS delivery logistics - and in the functional roles inside operator organizations (drivers/techs, warehouse, finance/ops leadership).
  • Spend time with operators of varying size and sophistication, from mid-size regional players to enterprise bottler divisions with in-house BI/IT teams.

Use AI to improve your own productivity

  • Actively use AI tools in your day-to-day PM work - from research synthesis and spec writing to roadmap analysis - and help model this for the PMs you mentor.
  • Contribute to the broader Operator Experience team's push to raise productivity across the org through smart use of AI tooling.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with at least 2+ years owning a core module or platform area end-to-end.
  • Experience in vending/unattended retail/OCS, or in closely adjacent B2B operations platforms - fleet management, field service management, route logistics/dispatch, or POS/retail operations software. We're especially interested in candidates who've worked on software that coordinates distributed physical assets, routes, or field operations.
  • A track record of balancing deep ownership of one area with a broader platform view - you know how to zoom out and spot cross-team dependencies without losing momentum on your own roadmap.
  • Experience mentoring or informally leading other PMs, even if you haven't held a formal management title.
  • Comfort working with multi-segment customer bases - able to prioritize for both a mid-size regional operator and an enterprise account with very different needs and sophistication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical/platform tradeoffs for both engineering and non-technical stakeholders (sales, support, customer success).
  • Comfort defining data- and AI-driven product features - you don't need to be a data scientist, but you should know how to scope, prioritize, and evaluate AI/ML-powered capabilities.
  • Personal fluency with AI productivity tools (e.g., using an LLM for research, drafting, or analysis) - this is an active expectation of the role, not a nice-to-have.
