Position Summary

Job Duties / Key Accountabilities:


Manages and leads the delivery of new product features, implementations, integrations to SGI and third-parties, maintenance, and other technical projects.
Works closely with internal and external customers to ensure applications meet the needs of the business and SGI's SLAs.
Coordinates the establishment and execution of product development and architectural roadmaps that align with the company's overall vision.
Ensures delivery of quality work with clear, well-commented code as scheduled in accordance with technical design and product requirements.
Helps refine and enforce team standards for development and testing activities.
Adheres to SGI's and industry security standards.
Utilizes knowledge of software testing.
Maintains project-related documentation in anticipation of internal and third-party audits.
Assists in the preparation of responses to RFPs including technical responses, sizing, costing, schedules, production demonstration and other related tasks.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge on new programming methods and technologies to anticipate and accommodate future changes dictated by business and technical growth.
Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
Champions continuous improvements of process and technologies.
Ensures that team standards are being met by team members.
Assists the Software Development Manager as a technical leader within the team providing input on technical direction/strategy.

Minimum Requirements:


Must have Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field. Foreign equivalent accepted.

Must have 5 years of experience in job offered or as a Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or any combination thereof performing the following:

Microsoft BI technology stack.
Design, development, and execution of ETL and Report Development processes.
Database Management Systems.
Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
Planning and delivering enterprise-wide reporting and data warehouse solutions using delivery methodology, frameworks, and best practices.
Development tools (debuggers, bug tracking, and source control systems).
Software design and architecture.
High availability environment programming.

Must have working knowledge of:

Microsoft BI solution
Data design/dimensional data modeling
SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and SQL Server development tools
SDLC and Agile methodologies
Microsoft SQL Server
