Villanova University Athletics is now hiring highly motivated, skilled, and passionate director freelancers to join our Athletics Game Production team. The Director is responsible for the execution and implementation of all assets associated with the game production script at the direction of the Villanova Athletics Marketing/Operations staff and Athletics Building Engineer. The Director must have the expertise to execute full shows and be proficient with troubleshooting issues. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the department and venue policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all game production assets are implemented and executed in accordance with the game script.
  • Assist Athletics Marketing/Operations staff will aspects of event production including but not limited to: owning and running pre-event coordination planning meetings, testing and rehearse elements as displayed in the event script, serve as primary point of contact for entire free-lance game staff, work in unison with Athletics Marketing/Operations staff and Athletics building engineer
  • Have knowledge of technical operations including fundamentals of audio, video and graphics. Familiar with the language of a production control room and have a working knowledge of all current technology
  • Ensure the safety of control room equipment at all times.
  • Respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of equipment, and apply safe work methods.
  • Provide support and assistance to other venue areas as needed
  • Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of related TD in live, multi-camera production preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required.
  • Must be a collaborative team player who works well with others in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the sports industry is ideal
