Job description

A health-conscious household of two in Garden City, NY is seeking an experienced Part-Time Private Chef to prepare nutritious, macro-based meals on a consistent weekly basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys creating flavorful, high-protein meals while working with clear nutritional guidelines and has experience with fitness or performance-focused cooking.

The family is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient chef who can independently manage the entire meal prep process—from grocery shopping through kitchen cleanup. The ideal candidate will enjoy creating new menus each week while consistently meeting specific calorie and protein targets for every meal.

Schedule
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Garden City, NY
  • Schedule: 1–2 days per week
  • Hours: Approximately 3–4 hours per session (depending on menu and prep)
  • Live-Out Position

  • Plan and prepare approximately 16 individually portioned meals per week (multiple portions of 4 different recipes) for lunches and dinners
  • Grocery shop for all ingredients
  • Cook meals in the family's home (preferred), though chefs who prepare meals offsite and deliver are also encouraged to apply
  • Accurately weigh and portion each meal to meet written calorie and protein specifications
  • Label each container with the meal name, calories, and protein content
  • Maintain menu variety and introduce new dishes on a regular basis while adhering to nutritional goals
  • Clean and organize the kitchen after each cooking session

  • Previous experience as a private chef or meal prep chef
  • Experience with macro-based, sports nutrition, fitness, or health-focused cooking
  • Strong understanding of portion control, nutrition, and meal calculations
  • Creative menu planning skills with the ability to prepare delicious, whole-food meals
  • Organized, efficient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
