JOB SUMMARY

The New Mexico Goatheads are looking for energetic, motivated college students or recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in professional sports ticket sales. This internship provides real-world experience in sales, customer service, and relationship building while working alongside our ticket sales team during the inaugural season.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION
  • Assist the Ticket Sales Department with the sale of season tickets, partial plans, group outings, premium seating, and other ticket products.
  • Make outbound sales calls, emails, and text messages to prospective customers and assist with follow-up communications.
  • Support ticket sales representatives by researching new leads and helping build prospect lists.
  • Learn and effectively communicate the benefits of New Mexico Goatheads ticket packages, promotions, seating options, and fan experiences.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to current and prospective ticket holders.
  • Assist with arena tours, seat visits, fan appointments, and game-day sales opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, and promotional appearances as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity within the organization's CRM and ticketing systems.
  • Assist with game-day ticket sales operations and fan engagement during all home games.
  • Gain experience working in a professional sports sales environment while receiving mentorship from the Ticket Sales staff.
  • Attend department meetings and participate in sales training sessions.
  • Represent the New Mexico Goatheads in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Available to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, home games, and select events.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with customers over the phone and in person.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and eager to gain experience in professional sports sales.
  • Previous customer service, sales, or leadership experience is a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
