What are sports journalism internships?
What are sports journalism internships?
Sports journalism internships are positions that allow you to gain experience under the supervision of an established sports journalist. You may help report on recent sporting events or write articles for a news company. In this role, you may form professional relationships with athletes or a local team, learn more about the role of the media in sports, attend local games, fact-check material, and provide other help or support as needed. Sports journalism internships are available throughout the country, but most are available in areas near stadiums and similar athletic fields. Many sports journalism internships are only available over the summer, but because sports go on throughout the year, it is possible to get an internship in this field outside of the summer months.
