About this opportunity:

Burris Laboratory School welcomes applications for a qualified athletic trainer to support student athletics.
This position provides an opportunity to support the health, safety, and performance of student-athletes through injury prevention, athletic training services, and on-site care during practices and events. The athletic trainer will work closely with coaches and staff to promote safe participation, respond to injuries and emergencies, and assist with sport-specific conditioning programs that support student success.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without sponsorship.

What you'll do and what you will bring:

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Work with coaches to ensure safety of athletes.
B. Attend games and practices as determined by schedule and need.
C. Support coaching staff in evaluating and implementing sport specific conditioning programs and methods.
D. Develop injury prevention programs and providing athletic training services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Sports Management, Exercise Science, or related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advance degree in Sports Management; medical professional certification; experience serving as exercise specialist or trainer.
