Job Brief:
Sidelines East is looking for a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager/Bartender to join our team in Milmay, NJ! This dual-role position is perfect for a hospitality professional who thrives behind the bar while also having the leadership skills to keep operations running smoothly. If you love connecting with guests and leading a team, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Manage FOH bartenders and barbacks.
  • Coordinate employee schedules
  • Train new staff members on bar operations, drink preparation techniques, and customer service standards
  • Responsible for liquor inventory
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products, and equipment
  • Craft and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency according to house recipes and customer preferences
  • Provide excellent customer service by creating an inviting atmosphere where each guest enjoys a memorable experience
  • Ensure compliance with NJ liquor laws, responsible alcohol service (TIPS/RAS), and health & safety regulations
  • Resolve guest concerns and staff issues in a professional and timely manner
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years restaurant/bar management and bartending experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in staff training; help build a collaborative team environment
  • Familiarity with kitchen management practices is a plus for effective communication with culinary staff
  • Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage preparation techniques
