Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President, Accounting and Financial Operations leads the organization's accounting function and is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role oversees the full accounting lifecycle, including the financial close, external audit coordination, accounting policy, and internal controls and will build and lead a scalable accounting organization capable of supporting a complex, multi-entity business while ensuring strong financial management.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, consolidations, monthly and quarterly close, and financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP across all entities.
  • Oversee external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors and external advisors.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Design and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and strengthen the control environment.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions, new initiatives, and evolving business activities.
  • Partner with FP&A, Tax, and operational leaders to ensure alignment between accounting, planning, and business operations.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and systems enhancements to support scale and efficiency.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing accounting team focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing accounting expertise and financial management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a strong plus.
  • Experience at a top national accounting firm followed by managing accounting and financial operations at a complex multi-entity organization at scale.
  • 15+ years of accounting experience, including senior leadership roles in complex organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience managing external audits and working with auditors and advisors.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable accounting processes and improve operational rigor.
  • Strong leadership and team development experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills, judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving environments and bring structure to evolving organizations.

Pay Rate: $300k - $350k USD.
