USA Rugby - Women's Competition Manager - College Rugby

The Women's Competition Manager will be responsible for the administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of women's collegiate rugby competitions conducted under the authority of USA Rugby.

Location: Glendale, Colorado (Open to Hybrid or Remote)
Department: USA Rugby - College
Reports to: GM, College Rugby
FLSA Status: Full-Time Exempt

Position summary

Reporting to the General Manager of College Rugby, the Women's Competition Manager serves as the primary staff contact for women's collegiate conferences, member institutions, competition committees, coaches, and volunteers. The position is responsible for ensuring that competitions are professionally administered, competition regulations are consistently applied, championships are successfully delivered, and member institutions receive exceptional support throughout the competitive season.

The Women's Competition Manager works collaboratively with the College Rugby Association of America (CRAA), the USA Rugby College Council, conferences, referees, coaches, and USA Rugby staff to strengthen the collegiate competition pathway and enhance the student‑athlete experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in sports administration, collegiate athletics, event management, or rugby administration.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience working with volunteers, committees, and member organizations.
Preferred qualifications
  • Knowledge of collegiate rugby competition structures.
  • Experience planning sporting events or championships.
  • Experience using competition management software and registration systems.

Position philosophy

The Women's Competition Manager plays a central role in delivering a consistent, well‑organized, and student‑focused collegiate competition experience. Success in this position requires exceptional organization, responsiveness, and collaboration with conferences, member institutions, volunteers, and USA Rugby staff. The position is expected to identify opportunities for continuous improvement while ensuring that USA Rugby competitions are administered professionally, fairly, and in accordance with national standards.

Compensation Range: $50,000 - $75,000 annually. The following represents the good‑faith salary range and benefits package for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
