About the Role
Join a high-impact cybersecurity team as a Cyber Systems Administrator 2 in Tampa, FL, working on revolutionary systems that safeguard global operations. This full-time, onsite position is designed for driven professionals ready to take on 12-hour Panama shift schedules-offering a coveted three-day weekend every other week and premium pay for night shifts. Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor security data using SIEM tools, with a focus on Splunk, to identify and respond to emerging threats
- Develop complex Splunk queries (SPL) for proactive threat detection
- Create, manage, and optimize Splunk dashboards and reports for stakeholders
- Configure and maintain Splunk infrastructure, including data inputs and parsing
- Leverage Splunk Enterprise Security for developing use cases and correlation searches
- Utilize Trellix/ESS to detect, investigate, and counter system threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and security best practices
- Conduct in-depth investigations of security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident triage
- Document security configurations, operational procedures, and incident findings
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends
Required Skills and Experience
- Active Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance (required by start date and throughout employment)
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, Associate's with 4 years, or High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of IT experience
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
- Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, especially Splunk
- Proficient in configuring and managing Linux and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with network security controls (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Understanding of vulnerabilities, threat detection, and encryption
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing on-premise environments and virtualization (vCenter, ESXi)
- Proficiency with multiple Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS)
