IT Asset / Inventory Manager – Alpharetta
 
About the Position
Seeking an experienced Technology Asset / Inventory Manager within the Enterprise Network Services team. This role reports to the Vice President of our project management office and service delivery function for network services. The role will be responsible for the overseeing and managing the department’s IT hardware asset portfolio. This includes daily inbound operations, inventory control and functional analysis of infrastructure equipment purchased for the network services team. The Logistics Inventory Manager will be responsible for the inventory across multiple warehouse and data center locations (20). Also responsible for 3rd party warehouse and integrations facilities (4). The role will ensure integrity of real time inventory data. Points of contact will be certain vendor portals and various public/private databases. Strategic planning, governance, tracking, optimization, process improvement, and effective management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle.

Specific Role Function:
- Proficiency of ServiceNow and Splunk software to ensure accurate and efficient tracking of network assets
- Responsible for inbound logistics, inventory control and inventory analysis
- Owns hardware reservations and equipment deliveries
- Proper documentation of inventory, accurate status, identification and research, and correction of errors within systems and reports, as well as identification of discrepancies within vendor hosted systems
- Oversee the successful execution and proper system updates of all inventory transactions both internally and traded with 3rd party vendors
- Develop business insights based on inventory analysis and communicated key findings to member of management
- Perform analysis of inventory, including calculations, trends and measurements. Make recommendations for inventory corrections.
- Work with senior leadership to develop metrics, reporting output and inventory analysis
- Reconcile inventory and stock levels (spares) and identify shortages that accurate stock is adequate (i.e. Optics and power supplies)
- Liaise with vendors and MS counterparts on hardware delivery statuses
- Hybrid role with expectation of on-site presence 3 days per week
Skills:
- IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and business process skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and PowerBI
- Advanced experience with Excel (formulas, functions, and pivot tables)
- Understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies
- Solid Sharepoint experience required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7+ years in an inventory control role within Supply Chain or other financial institution Experience in IT/Technology sector and/or Technology Hardware Manufacturer or reseller
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field
