Kavaliro is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage complex enterprise networks in a security-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be a mid-career to senior-level professional with strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working within cross-functional technical teams. Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and firewall systems.
• Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Configure and manage Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Juniper Junos devices, and L2/L3 technologies (VLANs, spanning tree, port channeling, redundancy protocols like HSRP/VRRP).
• Administer Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPN (IPSec/SSL), and advanced features (App-ID, User-ID, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering).
• Support Juniper SRX and MX series devices, as well as Cisco ASA/FTD appliances (including migration projects).
• Integrate network devices with NSOC tools, SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Elastic), and vulnerability scanners.
• Utilize network monitoring solutions (Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG) and log management tools.
• Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or Terraform to streamline configurations and management tasks.
• Participate in systems integration efforts and ensure compliance with enterprise or DoDAF architecture standards.
• Provide technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with a focus on security environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Collaborative experience working with systems, security, and DevOps teams.
• One or more professional certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent Preferred Qualifications:
• PCNSE certification.
• CCIE or JNCIE certification.
• Experience in scripting/automation for network management.
