We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to serve as a technical leader within our accounting team, with a focus on percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting, financial consolidation, and audit readiness.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that partners closely with executive leadership, project teams, and external auditors. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while helping scale accounting processes in a fast-growing, project-driven environment.

What you'll doProject & Revenue Accounting (POC/WIP)
  • Act as the subject matter expert on ASC 606 revenue recognition for long-term contracts
  • Prepare and review monthly WIP schedules, including cost-to-complete, revenue recognition, and margin analysis
  • Partner with project managers to validate forecasts, budgets, and change orders
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
Financial Close & Consolidation
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close, including multi-entity consolidation and intercompany eliminations
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Improve close processes through standardization and automation
Audit & Technical Accounting
  • Serve as a key contact for external auditors
  • Prepare audit schedules, technical memos, and supporting documentation
  • Research and apply accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 842, etc.)


Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Support management reporting, KPI tracking, and investor/lender reporting
  • Assist with project profitability and cash flow analysis
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements
  • Mentor junior team members and support a collaborative team environment
Requirements:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting audit
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Experience with construction, engineering, or project-based accounting (POC/WIP)
  • Experience with financial consolidations across multiple entities
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred
  • CPA (active or in progress)
  • Big Four or top-tier audit experience
  • Background in design-build, EPC, or water/wastewater industries
  • Experience with ERP/project accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Viewpoint, Procore)
  • Exposure to private equity–backed or high-growth environments
