Role Summary

As a Financial Consultant in Personal Investors, you consult with individual investors to develop a plan of action for their financial needs. You will utilize your licenses, designations, and our tools to ensure our investors are successful in their short- and long-term financial needs. Success in this role means you can quickly understand a client's immediate need(s) and broaden the conversation to determine if you can assist with other financial needs, including education, advice, and consolidation of assets. Your success is measured by the quality of your conversations and your overall sales results.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as initial point of contact for prospects and existing clients who are looking for education and/or advice relative to their financial needs (investment, retirement, and education planning)
  • Assist with consolidation of assets via rollover, transfers, or direct from bank
  • Demonstrate a consultative sales approach utilizing our proprietary interaction model
  • Deliver on defined sales targets, quality of conversations, and other role-based responsibilities
  • Manage your time, CRM (Salesforce), and sales pipeline to prioritize your day
  • Utilize T. Rowe Price products and services to position needs-based solutions
  • Understand the overall Financial Services industry and related legal, tax, and regulatory issues to guide clients
  • Partner with our Advice and High Net Worth teams to ensure clients receive appropriate products and services, if necessary

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses
  • Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) *Must be obtained within designated window per Global Distribution licensing policy.

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of sales experience working with individual investors
  • Client first mentality and passion for helping our clients plan for and achieve their financial goals
  • In-depth industry knowledge and strong pulse on current market events
  • Strong listening and verbal skills

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$80,000 - $117,000 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$80,000 - $117,000 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$80,000 - $117,000 for the location of: New York, CaliforniaThis job is eligible for overtime pay.

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
