Requisition Summary

Hiring level for this position will be dependent upon education and experience. This position will work to identify synergies between program tests and test properties, resulting in a more efficient use of validation resources and reduce validation expense. This position will require a self-motivated person, that can operate with minimal supervision and occasionally require independent evaluation.

Job Responsibilities
  • EnsureFailure Mode and Effect Analysis(FMEAs)are complete,thorough,and up to datein WRR.Work with EngineeringDesignand Reliabilityteams to complete FMEAs.
  • Identify program risksfrom FMEAs
  • Track and reviewDesign Verification Plan and Report (DVPR)in WRRto address program risks.
  • Track, review and generate Requests for Testing Services (RTS) tovalidate risks have beensuccessfullymitigated
  • Ensurevalidation resultsfrom RTSs are documentedintheDVPRin WRR
  • Manage test priorities ensuringhigher priority projects have precedent in the testing schedule
  • Manage test properties, ensuring they are built correctly and on-time to meet program validation deliverables.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Work with other Validation Engineer(s)toidentify synergies between program tests and test properties, resulting in a more efficient use of validation resources and reduce validation expense.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree is required.
  • 5+ Years experience in designing heavy trucks or their components.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and presentation skills is required.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Project, and related computer software required.
  • Ability to learn on the fly and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated team player with high level of initiative, follow through and flexibility.
  • Must be detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking workload.
  • Proficiency with PACCAR systems, processes, procedures and validation practices & principles.
  • Use of established engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems.
  • Requires independent judgment and effective project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams and programs
