Job description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Owensboro, KY

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Setting: Pediatric Therapy Clinic

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a pediatric therapy team focused on helping children improve their communication, cognitive, feeding, and swallowing skills. The therapist will provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment services while collaborating with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate pediatric patients with speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.

• Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing difficulties.

• Provide therapy to improve speech production, language development, voice quality, and communication skills.

• Support patients with feeding, swallowing, dyslexia, sensory, and assistive technology needs as appropriate.

• Educate and counsel patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.

• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

• Maintain accurate documentation, evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and patient records.

• Participate in clinical coordination activities and support a positive therapy environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Speech-Language Pathologist License (Required).

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

• Minimum of one year of experience providing services to children and/or adolescents.

• Strong knowledge of speech and language assessments, treatment techniques, feeding and swallowing disorders, assistive technology, and dyslexia interventions.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
