Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, licensed Speech Therapist-Assistant to join our team! As a Speech Therapist-Assistant, you will be meeting with new patients, discussing their speech needs with your supervising therapist, and following their personalized treatment plans to help them reach their goals. You will also document all patient care, observe and participate in treatment, and adjust goals and milestones as prescribed by the supervising therapist to ensure your patients' best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of speech pathology, provides compassionate care to every patient, and has excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
  • Meet with patients for the first time in their speech journey, answering introductory questions
  • Implement treatment plans customized for that patient, working with them to accomplish short and long-term goals for their speech and wellness
  • Maintaining excellent records of patient needs, care, and outcomes
  • Work closely with the family of the patients and the patients themselves to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
Qualifications
  • Active state license for practicing speech therapy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong charting and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
