Job description

Spectra Corporate Transportation Division is seeking a dependable Class A CDL Driver to join our transportation team. This local position allows drivers to return home daily while supporting warehouse and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will safely operate commercial vehicles, transport equipment between facilities, and work closely with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient and timely operations.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, DOT, and company regulations.
  • Perform local transportation of 53-foot dry van trailers between Spectra facilities and designated loading and unloading locations.
  • Position trailers to support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, equipment inspections, and transportation documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and transportation personnel regarding daily assignments and schedules.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Assist warehouse operations as needed while maintaining a safety-first mindset.

Requirements
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and strong commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and basic technical device skills.
  • Experience operating 53-foot dry van trailers is preferred.
  • Warehouse, distribution, or yard driver experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
