Job description

Job Summary (List Format): Senior Application Delivery Engineer – Calypso & FX Trading Platforms
- Serve as a senior member of the Application Delivery team supporting a capital markets modernization initiative.
- Design, develop, and enhance a hosted Calypso environment for enterprise FX trading.
- Customize and expand Calypso functionality across multiple FX products.
- Onboard new products, trade types, and business workflows to the platform.
- Build and enhance integrations between Calypso and internal/external financial systems.
- Develop scalable Java-based services utilizing Calypso APIs and REST APIs.
- Enhance accounting, operational, settlement, and risk reporting functionalities.
- Support trade lifecycle processing for a range of FX products (e.g., Spot FX, Swaps, FX Options).
- Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to deliver project milestones.
- Assist with migration activities from Spectrum to Calypso.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.
- Participate in architecture discussions and platform modernization initiatives.
- Ensure delivery of robust and scalable solutions in a highly collaborative, remote work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on Calypso development experience.
- Expert knowledge of Calypso architecture, engines, and APIs.
- Strong Java development and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with REST API development and application integrations.
- Deep understanding of FX trading and trade lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to implement new products and functions within Calypso.
- Experience with capital markets technology and front-to-back trade processing.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within remote teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience migrating from Spectrum to Calypso.
- Familiarity with Wallstreet Systems (WSS) or Spectrum.
- Experience integrating Calypso with financial market utilities (Bloomberg, DTCC, MarkitWire, AcadiaSoft, TriResolve).
- AWS cloud and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform, Nexus) experience.
- Experience supporting treasury or foreign exchange technology platforms.
