Job description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Clinical Psychologist-Post Deployment Health Reassessment (PDRHRA) at Jacksonville Naval in Jacksonville, FL.

Position Highlights:

  • Monday-Friday 730am-430pm

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (APA required)
  • Successful completion from an internship in Psychology (APA required)
  • BLS Certification from AHA Required. 
  • Have a minimum of one year experience in an independent practice of clinical psychology in a mental health setting working with an adult population
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State

Duties:

  • Provide deployment health screening services to all service members
  • Participate in outreach of PDRHRA programs
  • Screen patients, provide treatment when appropriate, educate returning units on availability of service and coordinate follow up care
  • Communicate with Line Commanders to make them aware of the clinic and clarify who is eligible to receive services
  • Participate in educational sessions for returning Units on deployment on realities of readjusting to life following deployment
  • Ensure all service members that require follow up appointments have them before leaving Deployment Clinic
  • Emphasis on treating mental health for post-traumatic stress disorders and other combat related psych symptoms 
  • May be required to travel within a 50 mile radius of the hospital for temporary service at clinics or off site trainings
