Position Summary

The Human Resources Clerical II is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department while ensuring the efficient execution of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, reporting, and compliance activities. This role serves as a key resource for employees and leaders by providing guidance, coordinating HR processes, maintaining confidential records, and supporting various HR initiatives and company events.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality while supporting a positive employee experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recruiting and hiring activities, including monitoring applications through Workday and assisting with candidate movement through the hiring process.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding activities as needed.
  • Coordinate equipment, phone, and system access requests for new hires.
  • Serve as a liaison between temporary staffing agencies and hiring managers.
  • Assist employees with general human resources inquiries and support requests.
  • Administer and support company human resource policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with corporate objectives and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Provide proactive guidance and coaching support to leaders regarding performance management processes.
  • Coordinate receptionist coverage schedules and related staffing needs.
  • Assist with employee communications, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.
  • Complete monthly HR reports and maintain accurate employment records.
  • Track employee attendance and support leave of absence administration.
  • Monitor outstanding requests and deadlines to ensure timely completion of HR processes.
  • Support company meetings, events, recognition activities, and employee engagement programs.
  • Prepare, copy, scan, file, post notices, distribute documents, and perform other administrative duties as required.
  • Maintain confidential employee information and records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Generate reports and presentations for leadership using HR and Microsoft Office systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with employees and leaders at all organizational levels.

Daily Activities

A typical day may include:

  • Assisting colleagues and leaders with HR-related questions and requests.
  • Following up on outstanding tasks, deadlines, and employee-related matters.
  • Reviewing and processing transactions in Workday.
  • Preparing reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Coordinating onboarding activities and employee communications.
  • Supporting employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Assisting with administrative and compliance-related HR activities.

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, HR Administration, or a related clerical/support role.
  • Experience coordinating recruiting, onboarding, and employee support activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including:
    • Outlook
    • Excel
    • Word
    • PowerPoint

  • Experience working with HRIS systems; Workday experience preferred.
  • Languages: English & Spanish
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
  • Experience managing records, files, and sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels of the organization.
