We're looking for a Laboratory Assistant Specimen Processing to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. As a Lab Assistant you will be responsible for processing of laboratory specimens and/or entering requisitions and/or results accurately and in a timely manner and ensure quality control checks and standards are run as required. Your contributions will make a difference and will greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone's life.

What YOU bring to the role:

  • Completion of secondary-school level education and a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program
  • Experience providing exceptional, professional customer focused service in a demanding and frequently changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage, prioritize and collaborate in a team-oriented, high volume, time-sensitive environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) at an intermediate level
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to apply that knowledge in troubleshooting issues and providing recommendations for solutions

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of AS400 Data Entry system/LIS

Pay rate: $19.75-$23.50 per hour

The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
