Labcorp is seeking aSpecimenProblem ResolutionSpecialist to join our team in Houston, TX.

Work Schedule:Monday through Friday 8am- 5pm, with rotating Saturdays and holidays, Overtime as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.

  • Resolve internal & externalcustomer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications

  • Communicates withcustomers in respectful and professional manner.

  • Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.

  • Providecustomer education and information as needed.

  • Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.

  • Prepare and triagespecimens for analysis.

  • Accurately identify and labelspecimens.

  • Pack and shipspecimens as necessary.

  • Prepare and store excessspecimensamples.

Minimum Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • 1 year ormore ofexperiencein the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office,clinic or hospital

  • 1 yearormore ofexperienceincustomer service

PreferredQualification:

  • Current or prior Labcorp experience

  • Associates degree

Additional Job Standards:

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures

  • Comfortable handling biologicalspecimens

  • Ability to accurately identifyspecimens

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Strong data entry and organizational skills

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Well-versed in applications like Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and willingness to learn new applications

  • Ability tolift upto 40lbs.

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
