Summary:
The Senior Processing Technician coordinates and collaborates the overall cleaning, decontamination, assembly and dispensing of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies needed for daily surgical procedures in surgery and related departments in accordance with the standards of practice and the policies of the hospital and department.
Education:
* Tech/Trade Certification
* High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
* Two Years relevant experience preferred
Credentials:
Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the certification body of Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or the International Association of Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or SPD Technician Certification (CSPDT) through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD).
